Amazing Zara Skirt
I love a good Fashion magazine, the photoshoots, fashion and inspiring stories our coffee table always has Vogue, Red or similar laid there or stashed away underneath. Some evenings Davinder and I will just sit, make a lovely pot of tea or glass of wine, music on and just turn through all the pages for inspiration. We are loving the gingham trend, its a lovely simple utility fabric from School dresses to Dorothy and her red shoes, I've always been a fan.
The latest June edition of Vogue highlights all the ways with their Vogue spy pages how Gingham has taken the fashion world by storm. Even BBC's Radio 4 Woman's hour was raving about gingham just the other week on their radio program.
Last week I had a tiny little spend in Zara after spotting this gorgeous gingham print online, I had to pop into the store and see if they had it in stock.
I'd seen the print on a dress which looked gorgeous and loving the gingham trend right now I was taken by the mix of flower and gingham.
Zara are always brilliant for responding quickly to the latest trends seen on the catwalk, and the clothing is super affordable for the quality and style you can get there.
When I popped into Zara they didn't have the dress in stock but they did have this skirt in the same print.
I must admit I don't tend to go for these long length skirts maybe because of my height being literally 5ft nothing, rules of shorter skirt lengths seem to apply. But actually I am loving the length and felt really great when I tried it on in store. When an outfit makes you feel confident you should go for it, and thats exactly how this outfit made me feel.
I also got this raw edge ruffle T.shirt in Zara, and teamed the look with my old faithful Saltwater sandals that are literally the comfiest sandals I have ever owned, and my what I like to call vintage Joules red beads.
I love the fact that this skirt has deep side pockets always handy, it has a button through front and a lovely long sash that you can tie anyway you like.
Its a lovely addition to my summer wardrobe.
I think the print on the gingham is a fantastic look for this gingham trend and the striking colours work brilliantly.
These sandals are available online, I have had mine for three summers now and they are still looking as good as new. Follow the link here if you like them.
When you are out and about you can team this look with a denim jacket mine is from Jigsaw a few seasons old but still going strong. My saddle bag from Accessorize featured on the blog just the other week.
As you know I love sewing and with all this gingham I am very tempted to make myself some new outfits on this trend. If you are loving all this gingham go and check out these looks on the Zara website. Here is the link for the skirt.
Happy shopping everyone
