Marks and Spencer's Spirit of Summer
On visiting Marks and spencer last week my eye was drawn to the simple and fun window display. They have stacked up a load of cardboard fruit boxes, filled with a few bbq snacks, and dangled a few bright strip lights from the ceiling. Its not the most complicated of displays but its certainly eye catching and full of summer fun.
Head into the store and they have some great seasonal outdoor displays with plenty to brighten up your garden parties.
Colourful patterned melamine plates and bowls, fun quirky pineapple candles and terracotta patterned bowls filled with Bug repellent candles, bright place mats, and a jar display filled with Lemons makes a great inviting display.
I already shared some of these cushions earlier in the season on the blog, I love these zig zag patterned rectangle cushions, working great indoors or outdoors. The bright yellow lanterns are so much fun if you want to go all out to create a very moroccan inspired display. I love the patterned woven rug, and all the explosion of colour. The handy picnic bag would also work well down on the beach.
Marks and Spencers have used some wonderful woven, there's not so much print its really more about textures and colour.
The letter cushions are so much fun, I love that you can mix and match and the trims are so bold from the pompoms to the rainbow tassels. The rattan furniture is beautiful for both outdoors and indoors. Its just a real shame that we don't always have the weather here in the Uk to get the most out of these looks.
I absolutely love this woven aztec bench design, its such a statement piece and has a real hand crafted look. You can see in the images above that you can also get this in a cushion. This bench with the right decor would add a real feature in any room.
If you want to shop this look head to Marks and Spencer's website link below
I hope this colourful display has inspired you to brighten up your bbq or garden party, even with a few colourful items and some bright colourful napkins you can recreate looks like this. You don't have to go crazy spending on luxury items to make a lovely arrangement. A few lemons and limes in a glass jar won't cost the earth as a table centre piece, add few candles and a brightly coloured table cloth you'll already have a bright fun display. So be inspired this summer, we've got loads more coming on the blog soon so watch this space.
