Liberty for Uniqlo

Liberty for Uniqlo

On our last visit to Liberty we were going crazy for this collection in the store, a collaboration between Liberty and the high street chain Uniqlo.

The thing thats so much fun for customers who love liberty prints is that the collection is so affordable, you could come away with an arm full of things for very little expense. Uniqlo have taken the timeless trademark floral Liberty prints and used them in such a versatile way. They have created a range of garments, for both Men, women and Children.

The designers at Uniqlo have taken various aspects of the traditional print and brought a fresh look with designs like this bold stripe T.shirt with its expanded floral design on the statement stripe, taken from an original Liberty print.  The shirt underneath is another print which has been altered into a micro scale from the original.

They have highlighted the collection with bold pop colours in these fun puffer jackets lined in floral print.

The prints are mixed up on so many different garments and styles that I'd say there is something for everyone which is great.

Having chatted to Ed Burstell the director of Liberty, he said this stuff was just flying off the shelves, and applauded the pricing of these garments. This really has been a successful combination.

Our little Joshua posing in front of the display, his striped Mini Boden T.shirt looks fab against this Liberty floral backdrop.

A little shot of their advertising, Its all about the print, which is why we love it so much.

Ok so what did we buy?

Well I have to tell you not as much as I would have liked, as so many sizes had gone in the huge rush of sales they had experienced, I got the sense that this had been a far greater response to the collection than they had imagined.

Watching their updates online it seems they have been adding more to the collection due to its huge success. So you will have to go and check out the online store and see whats available you'll have a a lot to choose from there. I'll be doing a little more shopping myself, so watch this space for more updates.

So this was my little purchase of goodies, I immediately fell in love with this oversized floral on the stripe, if you follow my instagram feed you will know how much I love stripes.

Its a great fit and looks fab with Denim.

I got this pretty top for Naomi, I love how they have taken the floral to create a stripe and the little bow on the back neck detail is so lovely. I am all about attention to detail in garments, and its little things like this that make me smile.

I loved this hoodie as the print is so well known, in fact I have some of this material in my fabric stash. Its a great mix of sporty and pretty so ticks the box for me.

There is so much to choose from in the collection from shirts, jackets, jeans, T.shirts and dresses, even nightwear, in fact I am about to go and take another look right now, and you should check it out to.
