Press & Whats On Trend In Homeware
As a designer one of the joys is seeing your designs in magazines. And in the next few months I will be updating you guys on my designs in both homeware and fashion as seen in magazines.
The first photo press is from February issue of 'Style at Home', and its all about Pretty Blooms. I'm really loving the soft Lavender and blues in this story. My painted floral design is used on the embroidered cushion seen on the sofa, and the bedlinen seen in the top right hand corner picture. With florals being on trend this design it's great to freshen up your bedroom. The great thing about this look is, you can mix it up with floral designs you already have for a more eclectic look.
The same embroidered cushion is also featured in March issue of 'Style at Home' magazine. Again the floral trend is big this season. All these designs are available from Sainsbury's.
Another big trend this season is 'botanical leaves' or tropical leaves, as seen in 'Your Home magazine'. This brings a fresh touch as we go into summer and green is such a calming colour in the home. A lot of the high street homeware stores have been showing this trend for this season. Shops such as H&M, George home and Sanderson fabrics are showing it in their fabrics ( seen in the Manhattan Chair). I hand painted fern leaves which were then used on the Embroidered cushion (top left hand side) and the trinket box, again available in Sainsbury's.
The same cushion was also featured in March issue of 'Style at Home' on their Natural Botanics trend.
I hope you like the magazine updates and it would be great to get your feedback on what you think.
Enjoy your weekend
