London Fashion Week
Its that time of the year again when the new Catwalk shows are on, and the next few weeks is a frenzy for all those involved in fashion. It began last week in New York where the new Autumn/ Winter 2016 collections were previewed. Then it was London Fashion week which began on the 19th February, it follows with Milan and finally ending with Paris Fashion week at the beginning of March.
So this was a great opportunity for me to take Naomi down to London, she was able to see first hand what its like when you hangout alongside a show, and watch what goes on. I think its great entertainment people watching on the streets around the shows. Everyone is there from Stylists, Buyers, Photographers and Celebrities.
So packed with our cameras Naomi and I got on the train down to London. This day wasn't only about going to see a fashion show event, but it was also about spending time with her Daddy.
Both Naomi and I love Yellow and I so I wore my H&M Mustard jeans and Naomi wore her Yellow rain coat from Joules with her Cath Kidston bag, and her star tights which are right on trend this season.
One of the venues for London Fashion Week is at the Brewer Street carpark near Piccadilly Circus, and as we got out of the tube we were greeted by a giant video display advertising that its London Fashion Week, both Naomi and I smiled with excitement to be where it was all happening.
As we approached the venue we could hear and see the many photographers snapping away, and I wondered how Naomi would feel about it. Initially she was overwhelmed by the crowds but got more confident in taking pictures, as I explained what was going on and who the people were. The fact that she was the only kid with a camera opened up opportunities to talk to people and take their pictures.
There was such a vibrant buzz about the place.
We got to see some very stylish and colour people going to the Fashion show and Naomi and I met the lovely Sarah Booth a stylist based in London ( Instagram :Sarah-Maria Booth (@sarahmariabooth) • Instagram photos ... who stood out with her colourful sequinned dress and rainbow pom pom earrings which are so much fun. Here she is with Naomi....
We loved Sarah's multicolour faux fur coat and then she switched to a smart peach colour jacket.

We loved Sarah's rainbow wedge shoes. To me Sarah was having fun and was kind enough to chat with us and let us take pictures. She came with her friend Ramario-Chevoy (Ramario-Chevoy (@ramariochevoy) • Instagram photos and ...) a model and dance teacher ( and boy can he dance check out his twitter account ) who again is a fashion enthusiast and to me stood out from the crowd..
With his hair up and wore the most amazing jewellery.....
and his doctor martin boots......
As the morning progressed we got to snap some more cool looking fashionistas....here are some more pics:
Naomi took this photograph ...we love this fabulous red coat with the bow detail on the fur collar and the heart shaped bag.
Naomi took this photograph of two women being interviewed and we loved the sporty look with pink fur coat and the skinny jeans.
With stripes being on trend these past few seasons, I think its about updating them with new colour combinations. And this was evident by the designer Angel Chen http://angelchenstudio.com who was not afraid of showing a bold colour palette of Orange, red and purple. Again we loved the pom pom ties.
Loved her knitted dress with different knit structures and the bold stripes following through from the fur coat.
I like this photo of Angel Chen and the colourful impact the whole outfit has. It reminds me why I love fashion and textiles. Fashion is a great way of expressing yourself, and showing off your individuality. Naomi and I discussed all this together, and that is why we both think London Fashion Week is Mad Fun Creative. Watch out for part two my blog about London fashion week where I will take a quick look at some more colour and textiles, and great street style fashion from London Fashion week.
